Our story

Rooted in a family legacy of learning

Maelee (ML) Prep was founded to honor the enduring legacy of education and family inspiration. Driven by the values of our founder's grandmother, whose unwavering belief in learning shaped generations, our mission is to provide students and families with the guidance, strategy and confidence needed to navigate the college admissions journey successfully.

We believe every student has a unique story worth telling. By combining personalized support, strategic planning and holistic guidance, we help students make intentional choices, showcase their strengths and achieve their academic and professional aspirations.

Our approach

Maelee Prep Philosophy & Framework

Everything we do is rooted in core beliefs about students and the admissions process.

Student Centered

Your story. Your goals. Your plan.

Every engagement begins with deep listening. We don't apply a template. We build a strategy around who you are, where you've been and where you want to go. Every plan is tailored to your academic goals, interests and personal story, factoring in what drives you.

Contextual Approach

The whole you, not just the numbers.

Admission decisions are more than just GPA and test scores. Your contextual experiences should present a full picture of your journey, sharing your character attributes, passions and experiences. We look at your academics, extracurriculars, essays and personal story together, presenting the fullest, most compelling version of yourself.

Strategic Guidance

Confidence, clarity and intentionality.

We guide students to own their admissions process, not fear it. Through strategy, preparation, mentorship and honest feedback, you'll approach every step with a clear sense of purpose and confidence.

What Drives You

Your passions are your strongest asset.

We go beyond the résumé to understand what truly motivates you: your passions, your interests and what drives you forward. These are the threads that make your application memorable and authentic to who you are.
